Fall 2026 RFA Now Live!

The Midwest Pediatric Device Consortium (MPDC), in partnership with the Alliance for Pediatric Device Innovation (APDI), the Consortium for Technology and Innovation in Pediatrics (CTIP), the Southwest Pediatric Device Consortium (SWPDC), and the UCSF-Stanford Pediatric Device Consortium, is excited to announce the Fall 2026 Pediatric Device Pitch Competition.

Supported by funding from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration’s Pediatric Device Consortia Grants Program, the competition will award up to $300,000 in seed funding to help accelerate promising pediatric medical device innovations toward commercialization and patient impact.

Academic researchers, entrepreneurs, startups, and businesses based in the United States are encouraged to apply.

Award Opportunities

Selected projects will receive:

  • Up to $50,000 in funding per project
  • Advising and mentorship from Pediatric Device Consortia leaders
  • Prototyping support
  • Commercialization coaching from industry partners

Key Dates

  • Abstract Applications Open: July 20, 2026
  • Abstract Applications Due: August 14, 2026
  • Invitation for Full Applications: August 20-30, 2026
  • Finalists Announced: September 18, 2026
  • Pitch Competition: October 18, 2026 at the 13th Pediatric MedTech Conference in Boston

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be based in the United States
  • Be developing a pediatric medical device that meets the FDA definition of a medical device
  • Intend to pursue a pediatric indication for use (IFU)
  • Be available to present in person in Boston on October 18, 2026
