MPDC x UCSF Grant Description 2025

The PDC Accelerator helps drive promising pediatric device ideas towards market availability for patient benefit. Academic, business, or startup innovators based in the United States are invited to apply. 
 
Thanks to funding from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration through the Pediatric Device Consortia Grants Program, and others, a total of $400,000 in seed grants will be awarded. 

AWARD 

• Up to $100,000 per project 

• Advising, prototyping support, and commercialization coaching 

TIMELINE 

• Initial application: June 20th – July 21 

• Full applications (by invitation only): August 5th – August 18th 

• Finalists announced: September 26th 

• Pitch competition: November 3rd, 2025 

ELIGIBILITY 

• Innovator with a promising pediatric device idea that meets the FDA definition of a medical device interested in working to develop the idea into a marketable product 

• Based in the United States 

• Available to present at the pitch competition on November 3rd, 2025
